Arrival & Access

– 4×4 Required: The final 4km to the resort is accessible by 4×4 vehicles only.
– ⁠Check-in: From 2:00 PM.
– ⁠Check-out: By 10:00 AM.
– ⁠Capacity: Occupancy is strictly limited to the number of beds per unit. Extra guests must be cleared in advance and will incur additional costs.

Housekeeping & Supplies

– Service: Chalets are serviced daily (Out of Season) or have a dedicated attendant (High/Peak Season). Please do not hire outside staff; our team is vetted for your safety.
– ⁠Provided: Furniture, utensils, linens, mosquito nets, and gas (stove/geyser).
– ⁠Bring Your Own: Swimming towels, toilet paper, charcoal, refuse bags and soap.
– ⁠Electricity: While we have EDM power, outages can occur. Please bring torches and battery-operated lights.

Resort Rules

– Fire Safety: No open flames or wood fires are allowed in or near houses. Charcoal only for braais.
– ⁠Water: Safe to drink, but please use sparingly. Hosepipes are strictly forbidden at chalets.
– ⁠Pets: No pets allowed.
– ⁠Driving: Speed limit is 15 km/h. A valid driver’s license is required at all times.

Beach & Marine Guidelines

– Driving: 4x4s only. Stay between designated beacons. Driving on dunes or outside these markers is illegal and carries heavy fines.
– ⁠Prohibited Vehicles: Quad bikes, scramblers, and motorbikes are not permitted on the beach or inside the resort (inland roads only).
– ⁠Fishing: No spearfishing within 300m of the protected Paindane Reef. Please clean all fish at the water’s edge or the boat area.
– ⁠Permits: Skippers must have valid RSA seaworthy discs and licenses. Launch and fishing permits are available at reception; local officials do conduct regular inspections.

Health & Safety

– Malaria: We are in a malaria area. We recommend preventative medication, using insect repellent, and wearing long sleeves at night. 
– ⁠Emergencies: Please contact resort management for medical assistance.

Local Amenities

Shopping: The local supermarket, Loja Da Tashi, is open year-round for essentials.
